When is the last time you have seen the Milky Way and the stars? Get away from town
and away from its visual pollution of light. The sky is full of stars!!
This class will help you see AND photograph the night skies – the stars, and the Milky
Way! It is fun, and exciting, and fulfilling to create a photograph of the Milky Way!
We will spend an evening in the classroom, discussing equipment and technique,
camera settings and more, to photograph the stars, the Milky Way, and “Star Trails.”
The next evening, we will caravan to a “Dark Sky” location and make photographs.
This location will be at least an hour away from Fort Smith.
We will stay out until midnight or later.
Instruction will include interactive discussion, demonstrations, and PowerPoint
presentation in the classroom, and hands-on application on location.
The class will last about 2 ½ hours, and the field trip will keep us out until midnight, or
later.
