As an artist, the time will come when you need a quality digital copy of your artwork.
You may need it to submit for an exhibition or publication, or you may need to make
printed copies for sale.
Do you use your phone? Should you hire someone to do it for you? Or perhaps you
want to know more about the photography process and be the photographer for
yourself as well as for your friends and other artists?
“Photographing Artwork” is designed to give you the information and skills to create
your own digital copies and print them as well.
✓ We will answer the question of when and why you should use a camera – and
not your phone!
✓ We will discuss all the equipment needed – from the minimum to the maximum.
✓ We will teach you how to know which lens to use, and how to use it most
effectively.
✓ You will also learn how to ensure the color will match your original artwork.
Instruction will be interactive discussion, as well as hands-on practice in class and on
your own.
• Prerequisite: None
• Equipment needed: A digital camera with Manual controls, tripod
• This class will last about 3 – 3½ hours.
• Tuition is $75
• Class size: Minimum of 3 students, maximum of 7
